Some of us are more prone than others to look back at big decisions we made and wonder, “what if?” I am very grateful to have (mostly) outgrown a nasty habit of emotional self-flagellation after making a decision, and today I rarely look back.
Infographics are a great tool for reflection on the development of a product, team, or person, and that’s exactly what I did today.

METHODS
To avoid getting lost down too many rabbit holes, I used my major educational choices as signposts and kept everything centered around those decisions. As you can see, this is incomplete—I didn’t even get to cover the ramifications of my major choice or how it led me to grad school. But we have to fight scope creep with torches and pitchforks, or it will eat us alive.
WHAT I LEARNED
Today had not been a great day up till this point, and reflecting on the gratitude I have for my education restored a sense of perspective. When I look back on the education I’ve received and the relationships built during that time, I feel like I am the richest woman alive.
